Fresh Naija Jobs

Privacy Policy

Who operates this service

Fresh Naija Jobs is operated by COLBRYAN Technologies. This policy covers www.freshnaijajobs.com and its employment marketplace. Use our Contact Us page to reach us about personal data. Updated 23 October 2026.

Job-seeker information

We process account details such as name, email and a protected password hash; declared location, work preferences, availability, salary expectations, education, skills and certificates; optional profile photos; saved jobs, applications, interview arrangements and feedback. Profile discoverability controls whether employers can find your profile in candidate search. Applying makes relevant application and profile information available to the employer handling that job.

Employer information

We process employer account and company details, job adverts, hiring preferences, application decisions, interviews and optional company photos. Published job information, company names and applicable employer badges are visible to visitors. Do not put personal or confidential information into a public job description.

Messages, documents and reports

Application conversations can include text and private attachments such as CVs, documents and pictures. Conversation participants can access them; authorised operations staff can review reported conversations and associated evidence. Files are limited to 2 MB per attachment. Keep sensitive information out of messages unless it is necessary for the recruitment process.

Verification and location

The current pilot includes verification records and, where requested, supporting evidence for identity, qualifications, licences or employer businesses. Evidence is separated from public profiles and access is restricted. A test-mode result is not a real identity or qualification check. Verification requirements may differ by workflow during testing; the screen should explain which check is requested. We use declared location for matching and do not continuously track GPS. Any optional location confirmation must be initiated by you. Phone-only signup and changes to verification policy are planned, but this policy does not claim they are already active.

Why we process data

We use data to create and secure accounts, display vacancies, match declared preferences, process applications, deliver account and hiring notifications, support users, investigate abuse and keep an auditable credit and moderation history. Depending on applicable law and the activity, processing relies on providing the requested service, legitimate interests in security and service operation, legal obligations, or consent for optional processing. You can contact us to object or withdraw consent where applicable.

Service providers and sharing

Our infrastructure uses Netlify for hosting, Supabase/PostgreSQL for stored application data and Resend for transactional email. Providers process data needed for those services and may operate outside your country. Employer recipients are responsible for their own handling of application data. External interview links and WhatsApp support take you to separate services with their own privacy terms. We do not sell candidate CVs or private messages to advertisers.

Cookies and advertising

Essential session cookies keep you signed in; local storage remembers your theme preference. Google AdSense ownership verification is configured, but display ads are currently disabled pending review and consent setup. If enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device information and identifiers to deliver and measure ads, and personalise ads where permitted. Optional advertising must follow applicable consent choices. See our Cookie Policy and Google's explanation at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. An internal COLBRYAN promotion is labelled separately from a job.

Payments and credits

We keep an auditable record of application credits, grants and spending. Paystack coin purchasing and rewarded advertising are planned integrations and are not represented here as active services. Before payment features are launched, the checkout and policy must identify the payment provider, price and applicable terms. We do not ask for payment-card information in chat.

Retention and security

Account and recruitment records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, investigate abuse and meet applicable obligations. Session access expires after seven days; password-reset links expire after thirty minutes. Some verification evidence has an expiry and cleanup process. We have not published a fixed automatic deletion period for all account, application, message and audit records. Deletion requests are reviewed individually; records may need to be retained for legitimate security or legal purposes. Access controls, protected sessions and restricted file endpoints reduce risk, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile details, change discoverability and contact us to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, to object to processing, or to request portability where applicable. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing already carried out. We may need to verify your identity proportionately before acting on a request. If you are dissatisfied, you may raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or your applicable data protection authority. Our contact page explains how to send a privacy request.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. Material changes should be communicated through the service. Review the date above and contact us if any description does not match your experience.
